I am not in love...

Hey All,

So it's Friday! Almost time for the weekend to begin! I'm sure everyone is at work just waiting for the clock to reach a certain time in the day, aka home time!

Can you believe that it is nearly half way...well actually it's only one day...so let's say...it IS half way through January! The first month of 2011, half over! Where does time go?

The song I have for you today is the most recent offering from Crystal Castles, with a little help on the vocals from The Cure's Robert Smith. The song is called, Not In Love, and it is a cover of a song originally written by Canadian new wave group called, Platinum Blonde.

Crystal Castles is an electronic duo from Toronto, formed in 2004. They released numerous vinyl EPs during 2006 and 2007, and then released their self-titled debut LP in 2008 to positive reviews.

Their debut record was also named by NME as one of the Top 50 Greatest Albums of the Decade.

Enjoy it, it's well good!

You've got to slow down...

Hey All,

I hope everyone enjoyed their New Years Eve, and if you got one, the long weekend! It's amazing to think that we're now in the year 2011. The last half of 2010 seemed to go by incredibly quickly; i didn't really seem to have enough time to take it all in.

Unfortunately for me I was (and still am) a host for the viral plague. I got sick on Thursday night, and remained super sick through New Year’s Eve. Go figure, the biggest night of raving, and I was stuck in bed.

Oh well.

So it's time for some new music. I may have been sick over the past few days, but I went stir crazy and decided to look into a bunch of new stuff over the weekend. So now as I scroll through my iPod, what should I share with you as my first song of 2011.

A contender for one of THE drum & bass tune of last year is called Slow Down, by Break featuring DJ Die.

When you first start listening to the song, you wouldn't expect what it is that this song eventually delivers. It is a hard, grimey, in the floor, drum & bass tune.

Definitely worth the listen.

Enjoy!
